DigitalMeeting joins WinACC (Winchester Action on Climate Change)
WinACC is a local project set up to help reduce Winchester District’s carbon footprint. After signing up as members, Amy Silvester, Business Administrator, was pleased to invite Richard Boothman, Organisational Membership Coordinator, to the technilink iT Limited offices in Southgate Street, Winchester.
Amy and Richard discussed how technilink iT Limited, as a business are able to keep their carbon footprint to a minimum by reducing the amount of printer and paper consumables they need to run the business, the removal of waste bins at each desk to reduce the amount of unnecessary waste and how the staff all commute to work by either walking or public transport. These may seem to be minimal measures but help to keep technilink iT carbon footprint to under a tonne a year.
And of course, utilising their own service, DigitalMeeting, technilink iT are able to carry out training, sales and marketing, and their renowned customer care, without leaving their offices, benefiting both the environment and their outgoing costs.
If you are interested in reading the case study written about technilink iT Limited, or are a local Winchester business and care about climate change, sign up to WinACC at www.winacc.org.uk today and see how your footprint is looking.
